  • Community Groups

Community Resilience lays the groundwork for creating neighborhood groups aimed at fostering community support in times of need and to promote the general welfare of members.

Groups are made up of individuals willing to share resources, skills, and training to group members to gain self-sufficiency among the community. Groups connect with other neighborhood groups to share resources or expertise as needed.

The goal is to enable members to sustain their community should resources (i.e. power, water, food) or public services become unavailable.

Build Communities

  • Community Resilience organizes individuals or neighborhoods into local groups aligned with their County Commissioner Districts
  • Neighborhood groups utilize Local Area Coordinators for group communication, coordination across Districts, and Community Resilience
  • As the group membership grows, neighborhood level groups are formed to create smaller intimate communities within their District
